Frequently Asked Questions

What is a blood donation event?

These are events we hold throughout the academic year across the country that encourage young people from ethnic minorities in the student population to donate blood. Events are ran at blood centres run by NHSBT. The length of these events varies, with some being run one afternoon to a whole week!

How to become a representative?

Our reps are at the heart of our organisation. Each one helps us to organise blood donation events at their university, without them it would be impossible to organise one at universities.

Rep responsibilities:

  • Sharing our QR code which allows us to collect information required for people to get booked in one of our donation events

  • Collaborating with us to determine the nearest donor centre to your university.

  • Determining dates that align with the term at your university

  • Being there at the donation event itself.

Requirements:

  • Be passionate about reducing racial health inequalities in the UK

  • Be a university student

  • Be either a prominent member or active committee member at a society at your university

If this interests you get in touch by filling the contact form below, we would love to hear from you!
