Saving Lives Together: Highlights from Our First National Blood Drive

Two happy people supporting the ACSGiveBlood Drive at St George's

The start of December marked the start of our first ever national blood drive week. In this week, we held blood drives at Bristol, Hull, Birmingham, Warwick, Queen Mary’s London and St George’s, University of London. As a result, we managed to get 78 blood donations of whom 82% were first time donors.

As an organisation, we are incredibly proud of this achievement. We would like to thank our wonderful reps who are: Adewale Kukoyi (Bristol University Galenicals), Nana Pomma (Hull ACS), Aisosa Imafidon (Birmingham University), Angela Ohen (QMUL ACS) and Rosemary Ndara (St George’s ACS). They have worked tirelessly this term, through bringing us new ideas and dedicated their time to this cause!

We are excited for the new year, and especially for our next blood drive coming in March. If you are interested in becoming a rep at your university, send us an email or drop us a message. We would love to have you on the team!
